Four Negrense young leaders who were delegates of the recent 13th National Youth Parliament in the Province of Aklan, presented to Governor Bong Lacson their crafted resolutions made during the said assembly.

The young parliamentarians are Mark Lester Ponce of Hinigaran, Debriel Jade Povar of Sipalay City, Alferkent Dada of Toboso, and Noreen Jongoy of Sagay City, whose proposed resolutions were approved and adopted by the National Youth Commission and the Provincial Government of Aklan.

They were divided into different committees that tackled various advocacies and drafted resolutions, which aim to address the recurring issues, challenges, and concerns of the youth in their respective communities.

The Youth Parliament aims to strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate discipline, acceptance of other’s views, and enable the youth community to know about the practices and procedures of the Parliament.

Gov. Lacson lauded the youth leaders for taking part in the policy recommendations and development program initiatives to address issues concerning the youth.#AbanseNegrense
