Governor Bong Lacson had a meeting with representatives of UNICEF Philippines led by Dr. Zaldy Collado of UNICEF Economic Policy Research Institute (EPRI) at the Provincial Capitol on May 16, 2023.
Joining the meeting were Provincial Health Office OIC Dr. Girlie Pinongan, Dr. Jessica Fama, Provincial Nutrition Coordinator Glouie Suasin, DOH Nutritionist Dietitian Joy Racasa, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office OIC Ma. Gerla Sario.
They discussed updates about the initiatives and programs to address malnutrition in the province.
UNICEF intends to support LGUs in upholding children’s right to nutrition and ending child malnutrition in all its forms, as part of the UNICEF Nutrition Strategy 2020–2030.
