TULONG TRABAHO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.
TESDA Negros Occidental Provincial Director, Romelia Nuezca, met with Governor Bong Lacson at the Capitol, today, for the Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program or TTSP is a scholarship program established through Republic Act No. 11230.
It aims to primarily address unemployment and job-skill mismatch through the delivery of Selected Training Programs (STPs) to qualified recipients.
The program seeks to address the immediate skills needs of the Filipino people, especially those who are greatly affected by the pandemic.
The beneficiaries of the program are displaced workers, repatriated OFWs, out-of-school youths, and employed individuals who needs upskilling to expand their capabilities and opportunities at work; they will undergo training programs implemented by accredited Technical Vocational Institutions.
The said program covers sectors which are considered as Key Employment Generators or priority sectors identified in the National technical Education and Skills Development Plan that include agriculture, fishery and forestry, tourism, construction, ICT and IT business process management, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, and health and wellness.
