The Swine Artificial Insemination and Laboratory Center located at CPSU Extension Compound in Brgy. Salvacion, Murcia, was inaugurated today.
It is a collaborative project of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental and Local Government of Murcia.
The center was established to further improve the quality of livestock industry in the province and increase productivity of swine raisers, by producing genetically improved livestock with quality breeding materials.
The inauguration was led by Gov. Bong Lacson, Board Member Andrew Montelibano, Murcia Mayor Victor Gerardo Rojas, and OIC Provincial Veterinarian, Dr. Placeda Lamena.
The Brgy. Salvacion Farmers and Hog Raisers Association (BASAFHA) Meatshop was also inaugurated today, as part of the activity.
