Governor Bong Lacson welcomed Renz Mae Ladroma and Josh Eddie, co-founders of (Sustainable Development) SD Projects – Project Buhay Philippines, who visited the Governor’s Office this morning.
In coordination with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office led by Merle Garcia, the group proposes to implement Project Buhay in the Province of Negros Occidental, that targets to distribute 10,000 efficient wood/charcoal fuel cookstoves at no cost to rural communities in the province that are still using conventional open-fire methods using biomass such as wood, charcoal, and coconut husks.
SD Projects is an organization that funds and develops climate mitigation and adaptation projects. The project aims to lessen harm to the environment, particularly by reducing pressure to local forests, and by reducing significant carbon dioxide and indoor air pollution.
