Governor Bong Lacson led the distribution of financial and livelihood assistance worth a total of P320,000 to solo parents from the different cities and municipalities of the province, yesterday (August 25).
Facilitated by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), each of the 32 solo parent-beneficiary received P10,000 cash.
Board Members Rita Gatuslao and Pal Guanzon, together with Executive Assistant to the Governor, Marie June Castro and PSWDO OIC Merle Garcia, joined the governor at the activity.
Gov. Lacson said he understands the plight of solo parents, and advised them to make good use of the assistance given to them.
Board Member Gatuslao also advised the solo parents to be strong and continue to become productive members of the community.
