WATCH. Gov. Bong Lacson led the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental Team in the Typhoon Odette Relief Distribution in Cauayan, today.
The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental Team, led by Governor Bong Lacson, arrived early in the Municipality of Cauayan to continue relief operations for typhoon Odette victims.
In coordination with the local government of Cauayan, the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental distributed more food packs, seedlings, and house construction materials to the victims of Typhoon Odette in the town.
A total of 3,979 residents received assistance in separate venues covering the 25 barangays of Cauayan.
Sixth District Board Member Jeffrey Tubola, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz together with the staff of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Disaster Management Program Division, Provincial Engineer’s Office, Safety and Security Division, Special Programs and Concerns Division, composed the PGNO Team who facilitated the day’s distribution.
Cauayan Mayor John Rey Tabujara, former Sixth District representative, Mercedes Alvarez, and other local officials were also present at the activity.
The Provincial Health Office led by Dr. Ernell Tumimbang also conducted COVID-19 vaccination drive in the town.
