The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council held a Joint Fourth Quarter Meeting at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City on December 19, 2022 presided over by Governor Bong Lacson.

The council has approved the 2023 – 2025 Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan, 2023-2025 Local Anti-Drug Plan of Action (LADPA), and the 2023 Projects, Activities, Plans and Services, for endorsement to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

Gen. Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd Infantry Brigade commander, presented the brigade’s accomplishment report, assured to continue the effective dissemination of the Comprehensive Local Integration Program, and collaboration with the LGUs in the peace and order campaign.

Major Leo Estopa presented the accomplishment report of the Negros Occ. Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) while PDEA-Negros Occidental Head Jyx Escrupolo, reported on Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s accomplishment and success of the campaign against illegal drugs in the province.

NOCPPO also assured to continue to intensify its police operations to address criminality and all other forms of lawlessness, and to strive to sustain excellence in providing the province with the best public safety and security services.

Also present at the meeting were Board Member Juvy Pepello, DILG Negros Occ. Provincial Director Teodora Sumagaysay, and Provincial Planning and Development Office OIC and PPOC Secretariat Anna Marie Lucasan, among others.

Other council members also joined the meeting via online.
