Governor Bong Lacson led the virtual final presentation and the panel interview conducted by the National Selection Committee of Galing Pook Awards at the Capitol Social Hall yesterday morning, September 27, 2021.

The Provincial government of Negros Occidental through the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) headed by Atty. Julie Ann Bedrio, is one of 22 finalists of the 2021 Galing Pook Award from more than 200 applicants who are vying for the recognition of being dubbed as one of the 10 Outstanding Galing Pook awardees for 2021 with the entry entitled “Network of Alliances for Coastal Wetlands Conservation”.

The award ceremony for the Galing Pook 2021 takes place on 20 October 2021. The SM Prime and DILG Philippines Local Government Academy are co-presenting the awards program.
