WATCH. NEGROS OCCIDENTAL DAY CARE WORKERS HOLD GENERAL ASSEMBLY
More than 1,700 day care workers from all cities and municipalities of the province, attended a General Assembly, today, held at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City, spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
The day care workers also received their pay outs of salary subsidies from the provincial government, in a distribution led by Gov. Bong Lacson and PSWDO OIC Merle Garcia.
Governor Lacson thanked the day care workers for their commitment and dedication to their duties.
He said that day care workers don’t just play the crucial role of providing care and quality early education but also exercise special parental roles.
According to him, day care workers are partners of the parents and the State in ensuring the delivery of proper care and training that children need.
He also said that he supports the enactment of the Magna Carta for Day Care Workers because he understands their duties and the challenges that they face.
Day Care Workers Provincial Federation president, Magdalena Donasco, thanked Gov. Lacson, on behalf of the day care workers, for the support and acknowledgement of their roles in educating the young children.
