The Negros Occidental Population and Development Division bagged a total of seven awards from the Commission on Population and Development – Region VI for its outstanding programs and achievement for the year 2020.
The awards include Top 1 for Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP); Top 1 for the New Family Planning Acceptors Generated; Top 1 for Adolescent Health and Development Program – AHDP (number of adults reached); Top 2 for the Adolescent Health and Development Program (number of adolescent reached); Special Recognition for Innovating Strategies in the Implementation of the AHDP; Special Citation for Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Paternal Abilities and Talents (ERPAT) Advocacies; and Special Citation for Working with Minimum Assistance but with High Accomplishment on RPFP.
The awards were presented by the PopDev Team to Governor Bong Lacson at the Capitol, yesterday.
Gov. Lacson lauded the outstanding performance of the team that shows their commitment and effort on the provincial government’s programs on population education and advocacies.
The PopDev Division, headed by Population Program Officer IV, Edmund Calaor, is under the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
Meanwhile, PopDev also awarded some population officers and achievers from the different LGUs of the province for their outstanding performance and achievement in the fields of RPFP, Generation of Family Planning Acceptors, and Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC).
The awardees are from the municipalities of Don Salvador Benedicto, Binalbagan, HInobaan, Toboso, La Castellana, E.B. Magalona, San Enrique, and Candoni.*
