Governor Bong Lacson attended the 12th anniversary celebration and inauguration of the new office of the Negros Cooperative Bank (NCB), Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the D’ North Gate Building, B.S. Aquino Drive, Bacolod City.
Gov. Lacson was joined by former Negros Occ. Governor, Alfredo Maranon, Jr., president and chair of NCB, Nestor Bayona, and coop officers, members and guests.
Gov. Bong Lacson congratulated the members, directors and officers of all the 44-member cooperatives of NCB, and said he hopes that they will continue to have an excellent collaboration with the government and the people.
“I have always believed in the value of people’s inclusion and empowerment, that such will strengthen the government and further develop economic and social progress,” said Gov. Lacson.
He also said that to boost the Negros Economy, it is the provincial government’s thrust that the public-private sector partnership should be pursued in the furtherance of our development agenda and economic recovery.
He added that achieving real and sustainable development can only be achieved when all sectors of society work together for a common goal.
