Micro Coffee Processing and Roasting Facility Turned Over To ISP

WATCH. ISF MEMBERS RECEIVE MICRO COFFEE PROCESSING AND ROASTING FACILITY

Gov. Bong Lacson led the turn over of the Micro Coffee Processing and Roasting Facility to the Integrated Social Forestry (ISF) members, this morning, which is a joint project of the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) and Dept. of Science and Technology (DOST) – Negros Occidental.

The project aims to uplift the lives of the beneficiaries and empower the community through science and technology that involve the improvement of coffee production in Brgy. Canlandog, Municipality of Murcia.

The community have attended forums on food safety along with PinggangPinoy project of the DOST, environment protection and conservation, and disaster risk reduction, as part of maximizing the project.

The project will be able to help the community in various areas such as economic enterprise development, health and nutrition, human resource development, environment protection and conservation, and climate change adaptation.

The ceremonial turn over of the project was held at the Capitol Grounds in the presence of PEMO Head, Atty. Julie Ann Bedrio, and Canlandog Brgy. Capt. Reynaldo Gawan, among others.
