Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation (PRRCFI) president, Gerardo Ledesma, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Bong Lacson at the Capitol yesterday, September 10, 2022, for updates on the establishment of a pioneering facility for sea turtle conservation research programs in Southern Negros, with a learning center at Danjugan Island, which is a wildlife sanctuary and an important nesting site for Hawksbill and green sea turtles.
Joining the meeting for the planned South Negros Sea Turtle Conservation Research Center were PRRCFI Secretary Micaela Ledesma-Trebol and Executive Director Dave Albao, PEMO Head Atty. Julie Ann Bedrio PEMO TSS Head Ma. Elena San Jose, and Executive Assistant to PEMO, Aldwin Legaspi.
