Yesterday, February 15, 2022, Governor Bong Lacson, Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, and Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo led the inauguration of the newly constructed P87 million Ma-ao Public Market in Bago City.
The project will pave the way for more economic development and activity in the area as well as in neighboring towns and cities.
The public market has an administration office, 30 outer stalls, 36 inner stalls, 25 fish stalls, 25 meat stalls, and male and female restrooms.
The event began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was followed by Rev. Fr. Joel Roquez’s blessing of the structure and the handover of the project to the LGU, which was witnessed by city councilors, Ma-ao Brgy. Capt. Jovito Gahaton, Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa, and other local officials and guests.
Mayor Yulo and local officials thanked Gov. Lacson for the provincial government’s support to the marketing development of the barangay.
