WATCH. Distribution of livelihood assistance to the beneficiaries in the Districts II and III
Livestock raisers of the different towns and cities of the Second and Third Districts of Negros Occidental received gilts and piglets at a turnover of livelihood assistance held today in the Municipality of E.B. Magalona.
Governor Bong Lacson, Board Member Manuel Frederick Ko, E.B. Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon, and other local officials led the ceremonial distribution held at the E.B. Magalona Covered Court.
It is part of the Negros Occ. Typhoon Odette Livestock & Poultry Rehabilitation Program in the province, which is a joint project of the Dept. of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 6 and the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental through the Provincial Veterinary Office.
The project is funded under DA’s 2022 Quick Response Fund by way of transfer of funds to the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, amounting to P36.5 million, distributed to qualified livestock and poultry raisers provincewide.
Also present at the activity were OIC Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Placeda Lemana, guests from DA Region 6, and representatives from District II and III LGUs.
