Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson led the turn over of checks for barangay projects, worth a total of P16.8 Million, to 84 barangays of the different towns and cities of the province.

The activity was held at the Capitol Social Hall today, in the presence of Board Members Rita Gatuslao and Jeffrey Tubola, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, and the respective punong barangays and authorized representatives.

The barangay projects include the improvement of water systems, concreting of barangay road, construction of perimeter fence, installation of solar streetlights, construction of multi-purpose halls, installation of community CCTV, and purchase of multi-purpose vehicles, among others.

The beneficiary barangays received P200,000 each for their respective projects.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Cauayan also received P350,000 for the 43rd Provincial Cooperative Day Celebration.#AbanseNegrense
