The Program Management Division, Solid Waste Management Unit of the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) conducted a two-day Solid Waste Management Training for Capacitating the Skills of Kapitolyo Solid Waste Management Educators (KaSE), last week at the Media Room, Panaad Park & Stadium, Bacolod City.
The training was attended by KaSEs from various Capitol departments and offices and provincial government-run hospitals.
The training aims to strengthen the participants’ knowledge on the Legal Basis of Waste Diversion in the Philippines, and improve their skills in the implementation of waste diversion in their respective offices and hospitals.
Jessieboy L. Nazarino, Khey Delos Reyes Doriman & Jerson F. Donasco from Sagay City and Richel B. Daguplo from the Municipality of Isabela were the speakers of the training; they also presented their respective Local Government Unit’s waste diversion strategies and programs.
The training was spearheaded by PMD Head, Dr. Eriberto Madalag, PMD-SWM Unit leader Sheila Joan Bautista, and PMD-SWM Unit members Ria Dada and Rodolfo Sapalo.
