Governor Bong Lacson and Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo led the inauguration of the newly constructed Cold Storage and Meat Cutting Facilities in Brgy. Lag-asan, Bago City on May 11, 2023. The governor lauded the leadership and vision of the local officials for the successful establishment of the said project.

He said that high-standard slaughterhouses in some LGUs of the province are established and supported by the Provincial Government which will help boost the local economy.

Mayor Yulo also thanked Gov. Lacson for donating the structure that will create more livelihood opportunities and economic activities in the city.

The officials are looking into the possibility of exporting quality meat products in the future, and for Bago City to be known for “Negros Wagyu”.

The facility will be managed by the Bago City Office for Veterinary Affairs.

Joining the inauguration of the facility were Bago City Vice Mayor Ramon Torres, Negros Occ. Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, and Louie Martin, president of the United Cattle Raisers Association, among other guests.
