Governor Bong Lacson together with 6th District Board Member Jeffrey Tubola, and Cauayan Mayor John Rey Tabujara led the inauguration of the mass housing project in the Municipality of Cauayan on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene Acosta, and Earth-Based Habitat Builders and Integrated Services (EHBIS), Inc., JF Ledesma Foundation, Inc., and Circle Forge, Inc., represented by its CEO Dr. Billy Tusalem, joined Gov. Lacson and local officials at the launching of the collaborative project.
The activity started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing of the project site in Brgy. Poblacion, followed by a short program and signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
The activity is also part of the town’s ongoing celebration of the 23rd Lubay-lubay Festival.
Gov. Lacson lauded all Cauayanons and local officials for rising above the challenges and difficulties, particularly brought about by natural disasters that had affected their lives.
The governor also assured of the provincial and local government’s support in ushering Cauayan toward its full potential.
“Trying to address homelessness in the Philippines is truly a tall order but not entirely unattainable. It is for this reason that I am truly pleased with today’s development here in Cauayan,” he said.
