Governor Bong Lacson led the inauguration and turn over of agri-infrastructure projects, facilities, and farm machineries and inputs to Bago City and other LGUs, in a ceremony held at the Negros First Organic Technology Center (NFOTEC) in Brgy. Tabunan, Bago City yesterday, September 5, 2022.
The agri-infra projects and facilities inaugurated include Post-Harvest Facility, Concoction Facility, Post-Harvest Water Facility System, Vermi-Composting Facility, Negros First Organic Technology Center Building Expansion, and Practicum Work Area worth a total of P11.2 million.
The agri-machineries that were turned over to Bago City Government were farm tractor with rotavator, walk-behind rice transplanter with 300 pcs seedling tray, and hand tractor with implements worth a total of P1.9 million.
Various LGUs affected by Typhoon Odette, namely, the cities of La Carlota, Himamaylan, Silay, and Bago, and the towns of Candoni, Ilog received hundreds of bags of synthetic fertilizer under the High Value Crops (HVC) Program of the Dept. of Agriculture.
Fourth District Board Member Andrew Martin Torres, Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo, Provincial Agriculturist, Dr. Edmundo Causing, and other local officials were present at the activity.
