GOV. LACSON WELCOMES ROMBLON OFFICIALS
Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson,Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer welcomed visitors from the Provincial Government of Romblon led by Governor Jose Riano, Vice Governor-elect Armando Gutierrez, Representative Eleandro Jesus Madrona, and Romblon Provincial Administrator, Atty. Lizette Mortel at the Provincial Capitol yesterday, June 20, 2022.
The group is in the province for a benchmarking and exposure trip to various projects and programs of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, particularly on hospital operations and economic enterprise.
Gov. Lacson said that he hopes to effectively share the best practices of Negros Occidental that helped the province cope with the demands of good governance, particularly in time of crisis.
“I hope this will be a start of a lasting friendly relations between Romblon and Negros Occidental as we seek to re-open our provinces to investors and tourists,” he added.
Negros Occ. Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Alberto Nellas, Jr., and other Capitol department and office heads also welcomed the Romblon delegation.
The group also visited the Negros Residences, Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, and Mambukal Resort.
