Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson led the turn over of checks for barangay projects worth a total of P5.7 M to 19 barangays of the different LGUs in the province.
The respective punong barangays received the checks in a ceremonial turn over held at the Capitol Grounds, yesterday (Oct. 6) in the presence of 3rd District Board Member Andrew Montelibano.
The barangay projects include concreting of barangay road, construction of perimeter fence, installation of solar streetlights, construction of community covered court, renovation of barangay hall, construction of footwalk and multi-purpose hall, installation of community CCTV, purchase of multi-purpose vehicle, and construction of closed drainage system, among others.
The beneficiary barangays, which received P300,000 each are Brgys. Alimango, Jonobjonob, Old Poblacion, Udtongan, Paitan, Libertad, all of Escalante City; Brgy. Bagonbon, San Carlos City; Brgy. Jerusalem, Cadiz City, Brgys. Vito, Malubon, and Baviera of Sagay City; Brgy. Dos Hermanas, Talisay City; Brgy. III, Silay City; Brgys. Sagasa, Taloc, Sampinit, and Ma-ao of Bago City; Brgy. Man-uling, Cauayan; and Brgy. Gil Montilla, Sipalay City.
