CBMS COORDINATING BOARD.
Governor Bong Lacson presided over a meeting yesterday at the Capitol Social Hall on the creation of the Provincial Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Coordinating Board of Negros Occidental, which was attended by Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, DILG Provincial Director Roselyn Quintana, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA – Negros Occ., Luis Gonzales, PSA Provincial CBMS Focal Person, Jerome Cadayona, schools division superintendents of the different DepEd Divisions of the province, concerned national government agencies, and Capitol department and office heads.
The CBMS is a technology-based system for collecting, processing, and verifying data that may be utilized for planning, implementation of programs, and monitoring of impact, at the barangay, city/municipal and provincial level.
It is conducted pursuant to Republic Act No. 11315, and it empowers communities to participate in the process.
