GOV. LACSON: LET US REBUILD OUR PROVINCE AS IT SHOULD BE
Governor Bong Lacson commended the Capitol officials and employees for doing well in the past year, highlighting each department and office’s accomplishment, and told them that government service is now more crucial than ever.
The governor delivered his message in a short program following the Thanksgiving and New Year’s Mass held at the Capitol Social Hall, this morning.
“This 2022, with our compassion, accord, and commitment to stand by each other, let us rebuild our province not as it had been, but as it should be,” he said.
The governor stressed that the year 2021 started with the flooding of the Northern Negros Occidental and ended with Typhoon Odette badly hitting Southern Negros Occidental; all happened while in the course of battling a pandemic.
“As your governor, I am proud that we did not allow the pandemic and the calamities delay and hinder the delivery of our duties, services, and programs as dictated by law and by our development agenda, he said.
He also added that beyond the international, national and regional awards received by the province last year, its winning programs and projects are now models of good governance, worthy of emulation.
For the previous year, the Provincial Government one international award, seven national awards, and 18 regional awards, including the 2021 Good financial Housekeeping from the Dept. of Interior and Local Government.
