GOV. LACSON JOINS REGIONAL PCL ASSEMBLY AND UNITY SUMMIT
Governor Bong Lacson graced the opening program of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Region VI Program for Newly Elected Officials and Regional Membership Assembly and Unity Summit, held last night at SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City.
DILG Region VI Director Engr. Juan Jovian Ingeniero, Civil Service Region VI Director Nelson Sarmiento, DILG VI Asst. Regional Director, Maria Calpiza Sardua, and PCL – Negros Occ. Provincial President, Ryan Gamboa, among others, were also present at the activity.
Gov. Lacson said he hopes that the activity will become an effective avenue and opportunity to learn, discuss, and develop the PCL’s needed strategies and approach as local legislators, as the government seeks better governance to reclaim what the pandemic took and to cushion the blow to the people, industries, and economy.
“I have been in the government service for a long time, and I am keenly aware of the importance of partnership and cooperation between all governmental agencies and all sectors of society,” he said.
The governor also urged the local officials to ensure that health protocols remain in place, to be able to focus on response and recovery efforts.
The assembly is themed, “One Region, One Goal for a United PCL”.
