Governor Bong Lacson administered the oath of office of the newly elected officers of the Negros Occ. Provincial Cooperative Development Council, at Negros Residences in Bacolod City, this morning.

The officers are Raymund Gepitulan, chairperson; Felicitas Acosido, vice chairperson; Caroline Tabianan, secretary; Gerard Tupas, treasurer; and Rosemarie Andrico, auditor.

Gov. Lacson said that cooperativism is a valuable instrument of equity, social justice, and economic development.

“To boost the Negros economy, it is our thrust that the public-private sector partnership should be pursued in the furtherance of our development agenda,” he said.

He lauded the success of the cooperative through the years and advised the officers to always remember that the success of the cooperative, is to a great extent, dependent on their leadership.
