GOV. LACSON IN GUAM. Gov. Bong Lacson met with Consul General Patrick John Hilado, at the Office of the Philippine Consulate General in Guam, USA, today.
The governor was invited as the guest of honor and speaker for the Independence Day celebration in Guam.
Gov. Lacson is with Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, EA IV and Provincial Information Officer, Charina Magallanes Tan, and Provincial Tourism Officer, Cheryl Decena. The team will also promote Negros Occidental’s tourism and investment opportunities to the people of Guam.
The consul’s office features a statue of Filipino hero, Apolinario Mabini, who was exiled to Guam after he was captured by the U.S. troops in December 1899, because he refused to swear allegiance to the United States.
