Gov. Bong Lacson lauded the One Negros (Abanse Negrense) Football Team for winning the championship in the Festival of Football Visayas League held in Iloilo last Sept. 1 – 3, 2023.

The team also won the championship in the Negros Festival of Football Qualifying Round held in San Carlos City last February 26, and first runner-up in the Stingers Cup held at the USLS – Bacolod last Aug. 25.

Meanwhile, the Buglas Filipinas U14 football players also won various tournaments in the province this year.*
