Gov. Bong Lacson met with La Castellana Mayor Rhummyla Nicor-Mangilimutan to check on the current situation of the families affected by the ashfall from Mt. Kanlaon, and to assess the initial assistance of the province to the LGU.

He also visited the families who seek temporary shelter at the evacuation center in the Municipality of La Castellana, this morning.

The Provincial Health Office also conducted rapid health assessment and provides essential health services to the town.

Also, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office distributed 200 family food boxes and 150 drinking water containers containing 5 gallons of water to the families at the evacuation center in La Carlota City.

Gov. Bong Lacson also visited La Carlota City and had a meeting with Mayor Rex Jalando-on.*
