Governor Bong Lacson witnessed the MOU Signing for Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) between the national government agencies and LGUs of the province namely, Bago City, Municipality of Murcia and Municipality of Moises Padilla.
The signing was held at L’fisher Hotel in Bacolod City, today, and followed by the System Management Committee Meeting for Bago River Irrigation System.
Among the participating national government agencies were National Anti-Poverty Commission, National Irrigation Administration, Department of Agrarian Reform, Office of the Executive Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Dept. of Trade and Industry, Dept. of Science and Technology, Landbank of the Philippines, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority. The activity was held to help the farmers by linking their cooperatives and organizations to established markets.
Also present were Mayors Ella Celestina Yulo of Moises Padilla and Victor Gerardo Rojas of Murcia. NIA was represented by Engr. Isaias Melendez, Division Manager A, NIA – Negros Occidental.
