Gov. Bong Lacson spearheaded the ceremonial distribution of educational assistance today to 250 Kapatiran next-of-kin grantees. The total amount distributed was ₱1,250,000, with each grantee receiving ₱5,000.
The event was held this afternoon at the FTMON Function Hall in Bacolod City, with Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Head Karen Dinsay.
The grantees are from various towns and cities of Negros Occidental.
Gov. Lacson expressed his gratitude to the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity, as well as the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police, for their support in implementing the province’s peace and order initiatives.*
