WATCH. Distribution of Early Planting Incentives to Isabela and La Carlota City farmers.
A total of 531 farmers of the Municipality of Isabela and La Carlota City received the Early Planting Incentive Project worth a total of P877,760.
Governor Bong Lacson led the ceremonial distribution of checks held in separate venues of the respective LGUs yesterday, February 7, 2023
The Early Planting Incentive Project provides cash incentives to farmers engaged in early planting to support rice requirements in the province, particularly during the off-milling season.
The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist led by Dr. Edmundo Raul Causing, spearheads the said provincial government project under the Food Security and Agricultural Productivity of the Negros First Priority Development Agenda.
Board Member Anton Occeño together with Mayor Irene Montilla of Isabela and other local officials were present at the distribution held at Isabela Covered Court.
Meanwhile, Board Member Jose Benito Alonso, La Carlota City Mayor Rex Jalandoon, and city officials joined the ceremonial distribution held at La Carlota City Hall.
Supervising Provincial Agriculturist Dina Genzola and OPA staff facilitated the distribution of the incentives.
The farmer-beneficiaries thanked Gov. Lacson and the provincial government for the aid that will be a lot of help to their livelihood.
