The elected class officers of the Certificate on Public Administration and Governance (CPAG) scholarship grantees enrolled at the University of Negros Occ. – Recoletos, led by its president, Henry Alcorin, took their oaths of office before Governor Bong Lacson on Thursday, October 6, 2022.

The induction ceremony was held at the Capitol Social Hall in the presence of Board Member Juvy Pepello, chairman of the Negros Occ. SP Committee on Barangay Affairs, Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, Negros Occ. Scholarship Program Head Karen Dinsay, UNO-R Graduate School Dean, Dr. Dennis Madrigal, and Mayor Laurence Marxlene Dela Cruz of Don Salvador Benedicto, among others.

The CPAG scholars are barangay officials from the different LGUs of the province, who are studying 15 units of CPAG at UNO-R. The said scholarship aims to boost the managerial and leadership skills of local leaders.

“Your dedication and drive to develop your capacities will serve as a precedent and an inspiration to all barangay officials,” said Gov. Lacson.

“May your organization serve as an instrument to further the best interests of our barangay officials and scholars, towards the attainment of our common objective to deliver good governance to our province and people,” he added.
