The Department of Tourism Region VI thru its Training Industry Skills Program (TISP), conducted a Community-Based Tourism Kulinarya Workshop participated upon by 26 food service providers in Brgy. Tomongtong, EB Magalona, today.
The workshop aims to capacitate the Tomongtong Mangrove Eco-Trail Community on food innovation and food presentation, showcasing local cuisine and dishes.
Menu planning, food costing, food safety and sanitation, as well as transitioning to new normal Kulinarya program were among the topics discussed by resource speaker Chef Jose Ramlo Villaluna.
The activity coincides with the 21st Negros Occidental Tourism Month Celebration with its theme, “Tourism for Inclusive Growth”, focusing on the role of local communities in the growth and recovery of the tourism industry.
