CD-IELTS SHARED LAB LAUNCHED AT NOLITC
Governor Bong Lacson, IDP Country Director Jose Miguel Habana, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, and Negros Occ. Language and IT Center (NOLITC) Administrator, Dr. Ma. Cristina Orbecido led the launching ceremony of the CD – IELTS Shared Laboratory at NOLITC, this morning.
The IELTS or International English Language Testing System, is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for international study, migration and work.
\With the launching of the IDP-NOLITC IELTS Lab, applicants may now take Computer-delivered IELTS in Bacolod City, and there will be more test schedules to choose from.
Gov. Lacson said that the provincial government is proud to open the first shared lab in the Visayas that will provide computer delivered IELTS Exam.
He also said that the innovative program of the province through NOLITC and IDP, is the 6th CD-IELTS Lab in the Philippines.
“This development, which makes IELTS more accessible, will greatly aid Negrenses, and those from nearby provinces, in the pursuit of their study, work, or migration goals,” he added.
Gov. Lacson thanked IDP for the partnering with the provincial government.He also lauded NOLITC for the pioneering initiatives to aid Negrenses in treading their career paths and options.
The governor also said that education remains to be the top priority of the provincial government and will continue to expand its education-related programs to make it more inclusive and accessible to all sectors, particularly the underprivileged.
