Governor Bong Lacson led the distribution of cash incentives to 64 peace and environment volunteers in the Third District, today (Oct. 19).
The LGUs of Talisay, Silay, Victorias, EB Magalona, and Murcia comprise the Third District of the province.
Through this community-based program, the LGUs work together with the provincial government and the Philippine Army in promoting peace and environmental governance strategies.
The volunteers commit to protect the forests of the province and promote environmental awareness and peace and order.
The activity was held in Silay City in the presence of Board Members Ryan Gamboa, Andrew Montelibano and Manuel Frederick Ko, Mayors Francis Frederick Palanca of Victorias, Gerry Rojas of Murcia, and Mark Golez of Silay City, and 303rd IB Commander, General Inocencio Pasaporte, among others.
