Former agriculture secretary and current chairman of Mindano Development Authority (MinDA), Emmanuel Piñol, paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Bong Lacson, yesterday (March 22) and discussed about technical cooperation agreement with MinDA related to farming technologies.
Piñol pointed out that they are interested to learn about the sugarcane-rice cropping system implemented in Negros Occidental.
MinDA also intends to share farming technologies to the province for more agricultural improvement and to ensure food security.
Negros Occidental Provincial Agriculturist, Atty. Japhet Masculino, also joined the meeting held at the Governor’s Office; he also accompanied Piñol at the sugarcane-rice cropping system model farm in the Municipality of Murcia, as part of his visit to Negros Occidental.
