WATCH. 1st Feed Manufacturing Summit
The Negros Occidental Office of Food Security spearheaded the 1st Pagkaon Negrosanon Feed Manufacturing Summit 2022, held at Negros Residences in Bacolod City.
The two-day activity, which started yesterday (Oct. 13), aims to bring together all feed mill stakeholders, associations, cooperatives, farmers, and government agencies to discuss opportunities, create plans, and find solutions to the pressing feed mill industry concerns in the province.
According to Gov. Lacson, the summit resulted in relevant policy interventions and enabling mechanisms, which will lead to a stronger agricultural sector, resiliency, and food security. He thanked the stakeholders and summit attendees for their consistent support of the province’s agricultural programs; he urged them to work together to empower more farmers on the road to economic recovery.
Representatives from local government units, farmer organizations, cooperatives, and private organizations participated in the activity.
Also present were Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, Provincial Food Security Lead, Dr. Niel Ningal, Provincial Veterinary Office OIC Dr. Placeda Lemana, Provincial Agriculturist Dr. Edmundo Causing, and representatives from the Dept. of Agriculture Regional Office VI.
