Governor Bong Lacson led the turn over of checks worth a total of P4.5 Million to 15 barangays of the province for various development projects yesterday, July 19, 2021.

Board Members Victor Javellana (Fourth District), Jeffrey Tubola and Miguel Alonso (Sixth District), and Negros Occ. Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, joined the governor at the ceremonial distribution of checks to the barangays, held at the Capitol Grounds in Bacolod City.

The projects include construction of street lights, purchase of water pipes, construction of riprap, renovation of multi-purpose hall, construction of tanod outpost, rehabilitation of water system, repair of covered court, rehabilitation of drainage canals, and purchase of office equipment, among others.

The beneficiary barangays are Brgy. Cabahug, Cadiz City; Brgy. Katilingban, Talisay City; Brgys. Malingin and Napoles, Bago City; Brgys. Ayungon, Balabag, San Miguel, Haguimit, I-Poblacion, and Yubo, all of La Carlota City; Brgy. I – Poblacion and Miranda, Pontevedra; Brgy. Culo, Pulupandan, Brgy. Inapoy, Kabankalan City, and Brgy. Linaon, Cauayan.

The punong barangays ang authorized representatives who received the checks thanked the provincial officials for helping them realize their respective local projects.
