Governor Bong Lacson led the turnover of cash incentives worth P10,000 each to the Best Performing Sanitation Inspectors of Negros Occidental, Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
The awardees are Jenebabes Calbonera of Pontevedra Municipal Health Office, Marilou Sendico of La Carlota City Health Office, Rose Marie Completo of Kabankalan CHO, Frederick Davy Susana of Hinoba-an MHO and Rownea Macaya of Isabela MHO.
The main function of a sanitation inspector is to identify hazards and examine conditions that affect public health.
They are responsible for inspecting food and industrial establishments, water systems, and other public facilities, and ensure compliance with government regulations on sanitation, handling and storage of hazardous substances and pollution control.
Meanwhile, the two Best Performing Zero Open Defecation Barangays also received P50,000 each.
They are Brgy. 2, Isabela represented by Punong Brgy. Joelan Matamoro and Brgy. 5, Kabankalan represented by Punong Brgy. Joel Alibango.Present at the ceremonial turn over of checks were Dr. Jessica Fama and Marilyn Ostan of the Provincial Health Office.
