A total of P680,000 were distributed to the residents of the Municipality of Candoni who are recipients of the Provincial Government’s emergency shelter assistance program.

Governor Bong Lacson personally turned over the cash assistance held at the Brgy. West Covered Court in the town, yesterday (July 1), facilitated by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).

PSWDO Head, Merle Garcia, said that the beneficiaries were those informal settlers affected by the construction of the town’s public market and road widening projects.

A total of 68 beneficiaries received P10,000 each, and more will be receiving the same assistance in the next months.

Present in the activity were Mayor Cicero Borromeo, Vice Mayor Loriemae Gargar, and other local officials.

Sixth District Board Member, Jeffrey Tubola, who also represented the district’s Inter-local Health Zone, turned over PPEs and face masks for the use of frontliners in the town, as part of the activity.
