With the aim to boost the market potential of local products, and to enhance entrepreneurship among farmers, the EPAHP Buy’Ani’Han Store was officially launched in Brgy. Tabunan, Bago City, this morning.
The EPAHP – Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Program in collaboration with National Irrigation Administration – Negros Occidental Management Office, is an inter-agency program of the government designed as one of the key strategies to address concerns on hunger mitigation, food and nutrition insecurity, and poverty reduction.
Gov. Bong Lacson led the inauguration of the said project, together with 4th District Board Member Martin Torres, local officials of Bago City, and Engr. Isaias Melendez of NIA.
Gov. Lacson said that the store will provide a venue for farmers covered by the Bago River Irrigation System to market their farm produce and boost the local economy for the best interest of Negrense farmers.
He also said that as a predominantly agricultural province, developing agriculture and uplifting the lives of Negrense farmers are among the primary concern and priorities of the present provincial government.*#AbanseNegrense
