WATCH. Turn over of Early Planting Incentives to Bago City farmers, led by Gov. Bong Lacson today.
A total of P626,000 worth of planting incentives were distributed to 277 farmer-beneficiaries of Bago City under Quick Turn Around or Early Planting Incentive Project.
Governor Bong Lacson, together with Fourth District Board Member Andrew Martin Torres, and Bago City SP Member Victor Michael Javellana, led the turn over of cash incentives held at Marhil Subd. Covered Court in Bago City, today.
The farmers are from Brgys. Alianza, Bagroy, Binubuhan, Busay, JL Araneta, Ma-ao, Mailum, Pacol, and Sagasa.
The Early Planting Incentive Project, through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, provides cash incentives to farmers engaged in early planting from April to May as support to rice requirements in the province during the off-milling season, particularly during the height of the pandemic. The farmer-beneficiaries today are part of more than a thousand farmers in Bago City who were qualified to receive the said planting incentive.
Also present at the activity were Provincial Agriculturist, Dr. Edmundo Raul Causing, Supervising Provincial Agriculturist, Dina Genzola, and Bago City Agriculturist Carlito Indencia.
