WATCH. Distribution of cash assistance and food packs to former rebels, held at the Capitol Social Hall
Governor Bong Lacson led the distribution of cash assistance and food packs to 57 former rebels from the different LGUs of Negros Occidental.
The activity was held at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City on May 16, 2023 in the presence of Negros Occ. Provincial Police Office Director, Colonel Leo Pamittan, 303rd Brigade Commander, General Orlando Edralin, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office OIC Ma. Gerla Sario, and Risa Johanna Neri and Russel Parreño of DSWD Filed office 6, among others.
Gov. Lacson said that the Provincial Government is committed to assist and support the FRs as they re-integrate into society while the E-CLIP (Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program) assistance from the national government is being processed.
“It is my utmost aspiration that more of our Negrense brothers and sisters in the armed struggle will come back and join us as partners in the achievement of our inclusive peace and development agenda,” he said.
