Ariel Joseph Alegarbes, 17, of Victorias City, presented his medals to Governor Bong Lacson after winning gold and silver medals in the 2021 Asian Youth Para Games held in Bahrain last December. Alegarbes won gold medal in the 100m butterfly swimming competition, and silver medals in the 100m backstroke and 100m breaststroke, respectively, representing the Philippines.

Other Negrense athletes who won in the 2021 Pilipinas Para Games Online Para Chess Competition (Men’s Physically Impaired Category), also paid a courtesy visit to the governor. They are Ric Abanco of Murcia (silver), Jordaine Tupas of Talisay City (bronze), and Ronnie Villa of Victorias City (7th place). Also in photo is Negros Occ.
