After completing their 14-day mandatory quarantine and obtaining negative results for COVID-19 through RT-PCR tests, PUMs have been cleared by the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental to leave the Mambukal Quarantine Facility.
Today, fifteen (15) Negrense students from UP Miag-ao were sent home to their respective towns and cities after their test results came back negative and completing the required quarantine period that commenced on May 5 and ended today.
Yesterday, 18 stranded Negrenses were also cleared and sent home.
According to the students, they were forced to stay in their school after Iloilo declared a lockdown last March 16. They said they are thankful to the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental for coordinating with their school so they can go home.
During their stay at Mambukal, they were provided with food and other necessities and were regularly checked.
The Capitol front liners were also thankful for the cooperation of all PUMs during their stay at the facility.
At present, there are only four individuals left at the Mambukal Quarantine Facility who are under observation, and with pending RT-PCR test results.
