3RD QUARTER JOINT PPOC-PADAC MEETING HELD AT CAPITOL

Governor Bong Lacson presided over the 3rd Quarter Joint Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) Meeting held at the Capitol Social Hall, yesterday (Sept. 27).

Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz gave an update of the activities of the Peace Month celebration and the ongoing Bamboo Fair initiated by the provincial government.

Three Civil Society Organizations (CSO) were also appointed and recognized as members of the council. They are Association of Negros Producers, Negros Drug Rehabilitation Foundation, Inc., and Victorias Kaayong Lawas Foundation, Inc.

DILG Negros Occ. gave an update about the Status of Support to Barangay Development Program, and the Guidelines on Development and Formulation of the Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan (POPS-PLAN) 2023 – 2025.

The AFP, PNP and PDEA also gave their respective updates during the meeting.

The council also approved a resolution commending NOCPPO for its excellent performance, as recognized by the national government.

NOCPPO pledged to continue to intensify its police operations to address criminality and all other forms of lawlessness and continue to ensure partnership and strong cooperation with the LGUs, stakeholders and community.

Also present in the meeting were DILG Provincial Director and PPOC/PADAC Secretariat Head Roselyn Quintana, 303rd IB Commander, General Inocencio Pasaporte, and PDEA Provincial Officer, IA III Jyxyvzcky Escrupolo, among others. Other council members joined the meeting online
