Gov. Bong Lacson welcomed the delegates of the 37th Philippine Chemistry Congress during its opening ceremony at SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City, this morning.

The governor joined Dr. Fabian Dayrit, Dr. Glenn Alea, and Roselyn Usero, among others, at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the exhibit.

Gov. Lacson said that chemists, teachers, chemical technicians, and researchers possess the knowledge and skills that are vital to the advancement of humanity.

He also stressed the importance of chemistry in agriculture and food security, and its big part in the advancement and development of society.
