Thirty-five grantees of the Provincial Government’s Dualtech Scholarship Program are set to study Electromechanics Technology Course at Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc. in Calamba, Laguna.
They belong to the Batch 6 of scholars, sponsored by the Provincial Government for a two-year study at Dualtech, in collaboration with Buglas Foundation, Inc., Dualtech’s Bacolod-based partner organization.
The scholars signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Gov. Bong Lacson at the Capitol, yesterday (July 27), and witnessed by Negros Occidental Scholarship Program (NOSP) Head Karen Dinsay, Roger Sarmiento of Buglas Foundation, and Joan Sayson, teacher-in-charge of the Maricalum Farm School in Sipalay City.
The qualified scholars are from the cities of Sipalay and La Carlota and the towns of Don Salvador Benedicto, Manapla, Hinigaran, Murcia, Valladolid, and EB Magalona; they are set to leave the province in August.
After two years, the scholars will graduate as electromechanics technicians and will have the chance to be employed in over 140 partner-companies of Dualtech.
